Training League

Fall Training League.

An in-house league focused on skill development and round-robin competition — no tryout, no travel.

What it is

The Fall Training League offers an opportunity for coed athletes — girls and middle-school-aged boys ages 11U–16U — to receive top-level instruction led by Piedmont's trainers and coaches. Athletes train all core volleyball skills, work on positional play, and compete in a fun in-house round-robin. It's a great way to get sharp and get competitive reps as the new club season begins.

How it works

  • Tuesdays: fundamentals, individual skill development, and systematic training
  • Thursdays: all competition — each team plays full games for high-rep, game-like reps every week
  • Players are evaluated on skills during the first practice, then split into teams of 6–8
  • Weekly round-robin format — scores tracked all season for a fun, competitive vibe
  • Sign up with friends — they're encouraged to be on the same team

Age groups & divisions

Players in 5th – 10th grade are split onto courts by a combination of age, ability, and experience. Athletes can request a division, but all players will be skills-tested at the first practice and placed into the appropriate division based on their ability.

  • Blue Division: 0–2 years of club experience
  • Red Division: 3+ years of club experience — athletes must serve overhand from the endline and understand positions/rotations

Schedule

  • 5 weeks long: September 22 – October 22, 2026
  • When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:30 pm
  • Where: Greensboro Sportsplex · 2400 16th St., Greensboro, NC

Fees

$310 for the entire Fall Training League.
