Camps & Training › PVA
A developmental program for boys and girls ages 8–12 (3rd–7th grade) — building skills, confidence, and a love of the game from the ground up.
Who PVA is for
PVA is built for kids who are new to volleyball, or new to focused training, and want a supportive environment to develop the foundation of their game. Many of our PVA athletes go on to try out for the Regional or Select club programs once they've outgrown the academy.
Practices mix structured skill work with small-sided competition (2v2, 3v3, 4v4) so athletes can put what they learn into immediate use — and have fun while doing it.
Season Calendar
PVA runs four times a year — plus monthly summer camps — so kids have a steady cadence of skill development from one season to the next.

Leadership
Piedmont Volleyball Academy Director
Nicole brings 19+ years of college coaching experience to PVA, with stops at UNC Greensboro, IUPUI, Missouri State, and South Dakota State. She's also the Community Engagement Director at Beyond Sports, focused on creating equitable access to youth sports across the Triad.
At PVA, Nicole leads the curriculum, mentors the coaching staff, and ensures every young athlete gets the same high-level instruction PVC's older players receive — just calibrated for where they are in their journey.
In the gym
Passing, setting, hitting, serving, and movement — broken down into age-appropriate progressions.
2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 play to put skills into immediate competitive context — and keep practice fun.
Movement patterns, coordination, and confidence-building — the foundation of every great volleyball player.
Communication, court positioning, and reading the play — early habits that pay off in club volleyball later.
