Who PVA is for

A first step into the sport — done right.

PVA is built for kids who are new to volleyball, or new to focused training, and want a supportive environment to develop the foundation of their game. Many of our PVA athletes go on to try out for the Regional or Select club programs once they've outgrown the academy.

Practices mix structured skill work with small-sided competition (2v2, 3v3, 4v4) so athletes can put what they learn into immediate use — and have fun while doing it.

Small-sided games

2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 play to put skills into immediate competitive context — and keep practice fun.

Athletic development

Movement patterns, coordination, and confidence-building — the foundation of every great volleyball player.

Team awareness

Communication, court positioning, and reading the play — early habits that pay off in club volleyball later.

FAQ

Common questions.

My child has never played volleyball. Is PVA the right fit?

Yes — PVA is specifically designed for kids new to the sport. No prior experience needed.

What does my child need to bring?

Athletic shoes, water, kneepads (optional but recommended).

How does PVA differ from the Regional club program?

PVA is non-competitive and skills-focused, designed as an entry point. Regional is the first step into competitive club volleyball — same coaching standards, with tournaments and team play.

When and how do I register?

Registration opens before each season at piedmontvolleyballclub.com — or join our mailing list to be notified.

What does it cost?

Pricing varies by session — Summer Camps are $110 per 3-day session, the Spring Session is $190, the Winter Session is $180, and the Late Fall Mini Session is $90. See the full 2026 schedule above.

Is PVA only for girls?

No — PVA is for both boys and girls, ages 8–12.
